    WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

We’ve partnered with organisations of all sizes – from small teams to large enterprises – across metropolitan, regional and rural areas.

We are delighted to share some of the wonderful feedback we’ve received from our clients.

“In October of 2023, I assumed the role of CEO at St Vincents Private Hospital, Lismore.  My first action was to announce the adoption of Studer Group as our Leadership Framework.  Having previously implemented Studer Group (12) twelve years prior at the Friendly Society Private Hospital in Bundaberg, I was fully aware of how effective this framework is in turning and guiding Values based culture.  The early establishment of a new Strategic Plan with clear Vision and Values, was paramount in implementing one of the many Studer Group tactics such as “Above and Below the Line Behaviour” to engage with employees and doctors and build a culture of Accountability.  In less than (1) one year, we have seen a substantial positive cultural change, where the (9) Nine Principles® guide decision making, employees are expressing a renewed passion for change and our expert Studer Group Coaches keep us moving along our planned journey.  Studer Group is a proven universal Evidence-Based Leadership℠ strategy which has been the framework for my management for the past 13 years.”

Alan Cooper, Chief Executive Officer, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore

“The Studer Group’s “Hardwiring Excellence Program” has played an integral role in DPV Health’s transformation into one of Victoria’s leading Community Health organisations.  Over the last five years, the Studer Group coaches have worked closely with DPV Health to implement a range of coaching and leadership programs to grow the capability, confidence and skills of DPV Health’s leaders.  In doing so, DPV Health has seen tremendous uplifts in all performance metrics including client experience, employee engagement and retention, clinical governance, innovation, activity management and financial stewardship.  I’m delighted to recommend the Studer Group to anyone seeking to drive major improvements in their organisation’s performance and culture.”

Don Tidbury, Chief Executive Officer, DPV Health

“Beaufort and Skipton Health Service (BSHS) has seen a transformation in our results, since building the close and valued relationship with the Huron Studer Group. The implementation of our ‘Inspire’ program provides the foundation for how we do business at BSHS. Results across staff engagement, clinical outcomes, customer satisfaction, organisational culture and financial performance have been exceptional and sustained. The tools and tactics within our Inspire program ensure a continued focus on accountability, performance and staff engagement. I commend the high level of professional support and guidance from our Studer Group Coach. If you are a leader, and want to make a difference, then I highly recommend the Huron Studer Group program to transform your organisation and achieve sustainable change.”

Meryn Pease, Chief Executive Officer, Beaufort and Skipton Health Service

“Northeast Health Wangaratta continues to benefit greatly from a close and valued partnership with the Studer Group.  The implementation of our ‘Hardwiring Excellence’ program gives us the necessary framework to drive our Vision: to be recognised leaders in rural health care.  We have experienced significant improvement in all KPIs since implementing the Studer program, and we commend the consistently high standard of support and coaching we continue to receive.  I strongly recommend the Studer program to CEOs who want to lead sustainable change and transform organisational culture.”

Margaret Bennett, Chief Executive Officer, Northeast Health Wangaratta

“Hunter New England Health is building a culture of Excellence – Every Patient, Every Time. This is being led from the top by our Chief Executive Michael DiRienzo and with strong support and leadership from our Board and Executive Leadership Team. It involves our whole team – over 15,000 staff, visiting medical officers and volunteers across a geographic area the size of England.  We have valued the practical support and partnership from Studer Group Australia. With Studer’s help, we have clarified expectations of leaders and staff and built a strong and supportive program so people can meet these expectations.  We take heart from gradual and sustained improvements in our performance across a range of quality, safety and activity measures. 2025 – CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF IMPACT – IN OUR CLIENTS’ WORDS

It’s an honour to share the words of our clients who’ve been part of our journey.

“I would like to share our experience of partnering with our Coach Maryann, and how this has created a lasting positive impact for our small rural health service. We have seen transformational change over the five years with our Inspire program. The individualised coaching of the executive and managers has been positive with the discipline of always addressing difficult conversations, providing clear expectations, and utilising the tools to deliver results and drive our strategic direction. While the program seeks to improve our performance and alignment, it has also generated innovative practices and engagement across the organisation. We have achieved sustainable change and performance results. We hold close the mantra – what you permit you promote. Congratulations to Ian and all the team for the positive influence you have in Australian healthcare to ensure we remain focused on what is important, our clients and staff. Congratulations on 20 years of making an impact together.”

Meryn Pease, Chief Executive Officer, Beaufort Skipton Health Service

“Since implementing Leader Rounding at Portland District Health, staff have feedback that they are feeling more heard, valued, and supported. The process has strengthened communication and created meaningful opportunities to recognise and celebrate staff contributions.”

Karena Prevett, Chief Executive Officer, Portland District Health

“Our partnership with Studer Group in delivering the Stepping Into Senior Leadership (SISL) program has been transformational for Western Health and our leadership development journey. The program has consistently exceeded expectations, with overwhelmingly positive feedback from every cohort of senior leaders who complete it. We’ve witnessed remarkable growth in our participants’ leadership capabilities, with many expanding their skill sets and confidently stepping into more senior roles across our organisation. What sets this program apart is the calibre of facilitation. Kylie and Ian deliver each session with genuine engagement, professionalism, and deep industry expertise. They are subject matter experts who truly understand healthcare leadership and know how to connect with, inspire, and embed lasting learning with participants. Their ability to translate leadership concepts into practical, applicable skills has been invaluable. Working with the Studer Group team, has been an absolute pleasure. Their commitment to excellence mirrors our own organisational values, and their approach aligns perfectly with our goals of building strong leadership capability. The SISL program has become an essential cornerstone of our leadership development strategy, directly supporting our ability to deliver best care to our patients and communities. We look forward to continuing this valuable partnership into the future.”

Melissa Edwards, Senior Culture and Organisation Development Consultant, Western Health

“The Studer team were always interested in getting to know members of the executive and broader team in a personable way, to understand what drove them and from where their “why” came from, I think this helped with subsequent change and engagement processes as the service improvement journey went along. The Studer group coaches in my experience had lived experience of the journey our staff were on, this provided credibility to the coaching staff and provided a level of comfort and engagement for staff. Our teams always felt well supported by Studer Group. Studer demonstrated the principles and philosophies they coached and were always flexible and adaptive to delivery on content and programs supporting the customised approach taken by truly understanding the business before jumping in.”

Brett Williams, former Director of Hospital Service, Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District

“Congratulations Ian MacDonald, Jaime Thomson and team. I’ve experienced first hand the difference Studer Group has made in two organisations, DPV Health and Southern NSW Local Health District. Studer Group been highly influential in my leadership development, the skills I honed and values I committed to have gone with me into the next chapter of executive leadership. Thanks to the visionary leaders who have committed to excellence and leadership in their organisations Don Tidbury and Margaret Bennett.”

Kerry Pearce, Aged Care Quality Advisor CRCS Principal Occupational Therapist – EncoreOT Certified Health Manager, Southern New South Wales Local Health District

“Two decades of making an impact. Studer Group has certainly made an impact on me personally. My leadership journey began rather unexpectedly at a Studer Group Executive workshop. Somewhere between the coffee break and the accountability framework, I had a lightbulb moment, someone needed to step up and lead in my workplace. So I did!

That moment sparked more than just a career shift, it ignited a deeper understanding of leadership and, perhaps more importantly, of myself. Studer Group partnered with me to guide me through the challenges of delivering a framework that helped cultivate a culture of accountability, optimism, and genuine teamwork.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with an extraordinary group of Studer Group professionals, people who are just as passionate about delivering exceptional health services as they are about lifting each other up. It’s been a journey filled with growth, grit, and more than a few good laughs. And honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Here’s to the next 20 years of making a difference – with heart, humour, and a whole lot of purpose.”

Lyn Day, General Manager, Nepean Blue Mountains LHD

Congratulations to the Studer team for 20 years! When we first began our journey partnering with the Studer Group to develop our StriVe program I did not know what to expect. It was quickly evident that the partnership was going to be a meaningful one. Working with Michele, Jaime and Matt has been an absolute honour. Words cannot fully describe the value that this partnership has given. The difference it has made to our organisation is so evident. Our leaders are now feeling more confident in their roles and now lead with purpose. Our staff can see the difference the program is making with a clear improvement in our culture across the campus. On a personal level, the support that the Studer team provide me in enabling me to fulfil my role to the best of my ability is truly amazing. I am so grateful that we have the opportunity to partner with the Studer Group and look forward to many more successful years working together.”

Kylie Greensill, Director Clinical Services, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore

“Congratulations to the wonderful team at Studer Group Australia for 20 years of partnering with healthcare organisations to make a meaningful difference! This milestone is a testament to the team who really showed me the power of connecting with purpose and understanding the “why?” behind what we do every day in healthcare. Studer Group Australia are renowned for building cultures of accountability and results. For me, the knowledge and skills I gained from partnering with Michele and Maryann have shaped me into the leader I am today. I often reflect upon the wisdom shared with me about the importance of alignment and engagement. I’m particularly proud of the patient experience, employee and VMO engagement results our team are achieving today, and I attribute that largely to learnings from Studer Group Australia.

Here’s to the next 20 years. May your important work continue to shape the future of healthcare in Australia!”

Carolyn Moore, General Manager/Director of Clinical Services, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Kew

From 2015 to 2016, my involvement with Studer Group was transformational. While studying my MBA, it helped me put theory into practice, especially through the study tour to Toronto and Chicago. What has stayed with me is Studer’s focus on purpose: In health we do worthwhile work and can make a difference, guided by our values. After years in government and consulting, I’m now proud to work in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector, where purpose and accountability are driven by Aboriginal people and communities, and across the whole of Australia through the National Agreement on Closing the Gap. I value the connection I’ve maintained with Ian MacDonald and the Studer network!”

Sarah Tobias, former Director – Future Sustainability Taskforce, Murrumbidgee Local Health District

“Given the positive impacts that working with the Studer Group has had on my professional career it is a privilege to share my experience partnering with the team!

My journey with Studer Group commenced in 2015 when I joined the Friendly Society Private Hospital and was introduced to the evidence-based leadership model by my leader and mentor. This impactful yet practical way of working instantly resonated with me and I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Michele, Jaime and the team over the next 8 years to embed the leadership principles and tools into our daily operations, and experience the difference they made in our service delivery and employee engagement.

While no longer in healthcare, the lessons I learned, skills and knowledge I gained working with Studer Group have travelled with me to a new industry and continue to support me in demonstrating to current and future leaders ‘what right looks like’.

Congratulations on 20 years of making an impact. The work you do makes a big difference in the lives of so many employees and the patients they care for.”

Thank you for all that you do – and doing it so well!”

Kate McLean, former Human Resources Manager, Friendly Society Private Hospital
